FOR TEACHERS AND TRAINERS
Class audio, right where you left it.
Language dialogues, listening tests, music for transitions, a recorded guest speaker: classroom audio is scattered across folders and apps. Cue Magic keeps each class’s sounds in the order you’ll use them, and remembers where you paused.
Organized the way you already teach
Make a folder per class, unit or week. Drop it on Cue Magic and it becomes a playlist, with nested folders shown as you arranged them. Sort by title, duration or date added, or keep the order you set.
Add a note to any clip — the question to ask after it, the page number, which group it’s for. Tags and search find a clip across every attached folder.
Built for the middle of a lesson
Pick up where you paused. Pause a long recording on Tuesday and resume from the same point on Thursday.
Bookmarks for repeat listening. Name the line students need to hear twice and jump straight to it.
Large, clear controls. Adjustable interface size and clip title colors make the next cue easy to see from across the room.
Transcripts. Prepared transcripts are searchable and clickable — click a word to cue that moment in the recording.
Shared and backed up
Playlist details are stored in a small sidecar file next to your audio, so a department folder in Dropbox or Box carries the same order, notes and bookmarks to a colleague’s Mac. Cue Magic keeps up to 40 earlier versions of each playlist’s details in case a change needs undoing.
Questions
Is it for students too?
Cue Magic is designed for the person running the room. Students don’t need it to listen.
Does it change my audio files?
No. Display names, notes and bookmarks are stored beside your files; the audio itself is not edited or renamed.
Is there a Windows or iPad version?
Not today. Cue Magic is a native Mac app for macOS 14 or later.
