FOR SPEAKERS AND PRESENTERS

Every sound in your talk, one keypress away.

You rehearsed the words. Cue Magic makes the audio just as dependable: walk-on music, a clip from an interview, a sound effect that lands the joke, the outro while people stand up. Line them up in a folder, then press Return when it’s time.

Why not just use Music or a slide embed?

Embedded audio in slides depends on the deck, the build and the laptop it was saved on. Music apps want to shuffle, cross-fade and show you a library. In front of a room you need the opposite: the next sound, visible, and nothing surprising.

Cue Magic is a native Mac player built only for that moment. Your folders are your playlists, every clip shows how it ends — Stop, Loop or Next — and your attention stays on the audience.

How presenters use it

Walk-on and walk-off. Set the opening track to Stop, and give it an End fade so pressing Space eases it out as you reach the lectern.

Clips you quote. Bookmark the exact second the quote begins. A click on the bookmark jumps there, so you never scrub in front of people.

Break music. Set a music bed to Loop for as long as the break runs, then fade it on cue.

Emergency stop. Command-period stops immediately — including during a fade.

Before the event

Copy your audio into a folder named for the event, drop that folder on Cue Magic, and set each clip’s end behavior, volume and notes. Choose the audio output in the app (the venue’s interface, an HDMI feed or headphones for a check) and play a few seconds of each clip. Those settings travel with the folder, so a backup laptop with the same folder shows the same cue list.

Questions

Do I need internet at the venue?

No. Local audio plays offline. If your files live in Dropbox or Box, make them available offline before you leave.

Can it run alongside Keynote or PowerPoint?

Yes. Cue Magic is a separate window, so you can keep it on a second display or bring it forward when you need it.

Which Macs are supported?

Macs running macOS 14 Sonoma or later, Apple silicon and Intel.
